Fed: Truss to address ABARE conference today

CANBERRA, Feb 28 AAP - Agriculture Minister Warren Truss will promote the government's
farming policies at a peak commodities conference today, in the face of growing unrest
over deregulation and competition.

Mr Truss will deliver the opening address at the second day of the Australian Bureau
of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE) forecasting conference.

ABARE yesterday rallied behind further deregulation and competition to boost national
wealth, especially among farmers and miners.
